A busy and fast-paced legal team in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Secretary who can hit the ground running. About the Role

This position supports multiple attorneys and requires someone highly organized, proactive, and confident managing litigation workflows from start to finish. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform eFiling in state and federal courts with accuracy and speed
  • Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
  • Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and scheduling
  • Organize case files, pleadings, and discovery materials
  • Assist with trial preparation, filings, and administrative support tasks
  • Handle communication with courts, counsel, and clients
  • Maintain confidentiality and a high level of professionalism

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of civil litigation secretary experience required
  • Strong experience with state and federal eFiling
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and legal support software
  • Excellent proofreading, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with various personalities
  • Ability to hit the ground running with minimal training

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay: $35+ per hour (based on experience)
  • Schedule: Hybrid (onsite + remote flexibility)
